Re-imagining responses to economic inactivity the Liverpool way

LEAF: Liverpool Economic Activity Framework

Funded by a £1.2M grant from UKRI, LEAF is a community-focused approach to addressing economic inactivity in the Liverpool City Region. Our aim is to combine the collective insights from local communities, policymakers, and employers in the Liverpool City Region with academic research to understand barriers to employment and co-develop tailored solutions that reflect the realities of those most affected.

We bring together an interdisciplinary team of researchers, policymakers, and the community using large-scale joined-up thinking. Perspectives from economics, sociology, public health, and public policy are blended in a mixed-methods approach to leverage methodological strengths and conduct world-leading research through interdisciplinary approaches.
